Active Life Chiropractic LLCChristina and
Joe Thomas opened Active Life Chiropractic LLC on May 1 at 3250 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. P, in the Fox Grape Plaza. Chiropractor Christina Thomas graduated from Drury University before attending Cleveland Chiropractic College for her doctorate. She is a Webster-technique certified chiropractor and is currently working on advanced certification in pediatric chiropractics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Thomas, who plans to hire another chiropractor in the spring, also is a certified animal chiropractor. She said treatment is based around the philosophy of living active, pain-free lives. Joe Thomas is temporarily filling reception, management and marketing positions until employees are hired. The couple minimized their startup costs, an estimated $50,000, by acquiring equipment in 2007 during Christina Thomas’ schooling. Operating on a $100,000 loan from Commerce Bank, the Thomases lease 1,500 square feet from R.B. Murray Co. in a three-year deal for $1,200 a month.
