Darin and Dinah Wray opened Wray Accounting & Tax Service LLC May 1 at 131 Johnstown Drive in Rogersville’s Johnstown Center. Formerly Wray & Roach Accounting at 1341 E. Kearney, the business was previously a partnership with Charles Roach, said Darin Wray, who opened that office in 1992. “We have lived our entire lives in the Rogersville area. To us, it’s moving our business home,” said Dinah Wray, who has worked with her husband since 2000. The Wrays offer monthly accounting for small business clients and individual, corporate and partnership income tax preparation. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Baby’s First Portrait opened Dec. 1 at 2200 E. Sunshine, Ste. 128, in Commerce Terrace, and at 712 E. 32nd St., Joplin. Kim Woolley purchased the businesses, formerly known as Daddy Did It, from Karen and Larry Doss, who had owned them for about 2 1/2 years. Woolley changed the corporate name to Little Miracles Prenatal Imaging Inc. to better reflect its ultrasound photography focus. “We take the picture of the baby, and it actually looks like a baby instead of the skeletal type photo that you get with the 2-D ultrasound. It’s actually a photo of the baby,” Woolley said. She has one full-time employee at each location. Hours are by appointment.
