“We have a lot of manufacturing clients that have waste water that can’t go to the sewer, but it’s not hazardous, so we’re going to pick it up and treat it,” he said. The business has 22 full-time and three part-time employees, and Schaefer said plans are to add three to five employees in the next year.

Remax Solutions opened April 4 at 1507 W. State Highway J in Ozark. The owners of Springfield’s Remax House of Brokers office – Wayne Frederick, Dan Clark, Don Caudle and Tom Barr – teamed with Jeff Kester, Kay Van Kampen and Lina Roberts to open the 2,000-square-foot office, Kester said. Remax Solutions has 15 agents and two office staff. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.
Creekside Cottage opened April 13 at 1807 E. Seminole in Tower Grove Center. Bill Blakey, who co-owns the business with wife Donna and daughter Jill Jones, said the business was previously known as Midwest Art and operated at 1281 E. Republic Road, sharing space in Secret Garden Cottage with Candy Creations and Debbie’s Floral & Design for about a year. About 15 percent to 20 percent of Creekside Cottage’s merchandise is made by local crafters and for sale on consignment. Blakey, with 20 years of experience marketing his handmade furniture at craft shows, makes primitive furniture, such as shelving, quilt racks and dry sinks, while his wife and daughter make handmade sterling silver jewelry. Hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
Ink Slingers, owned by John and Jannetta Falciano, opened April 16 in 1,200 square feet at 1435 E. Kearney St. With seven years of experience as a tattoo artist, John Falciano offers custom tattoos, cover-ups, and body piercing, while Janetta Falciano runs the front desk. Hours are 3-9 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 3-10 p.m. Friday, noon-10 p.m. Saturday and noon-8 p.m. Sunday.
