High Performance ATV Inc. opened May 2 at 212 W. Kearney. Brian and Tracy Lockhart are co-owners and sole employees of the 6,000-square-foot shop, which sells all-terrain vehicles, dirt bikes and motorcycles. Hours are 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday.
ServiceWorld Business Solutions LLC opened March 23 at 1409 W. Sunshine. Owned by Doug Pitt, Scott Hickman and Rob Neal, the company is a reseller for Sage Software’s BusinessWorks, MAS 90/200 and Microsoft’s Great Plains Accounting Software. It also provides implementation and troubleshooting consulting, installation and training, said Pitt, who also co-owns ServiceWorld Computer Center with Neal and Pitt’s father, Bill Pitt. ServiceWorld Business Solutions uses ServiceWorld Computer Center technicians as needed and has three full-time employees of its own and five independent contractors within its service pool. Hours are 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Bentley Bats, a custom manufacturer of maple baseball bats, opened online April 20 at www.bentleybats.com. Taylor Bentley runs the Springfield-based Web site and is partners with his brother, Ryan Bentley, who runs the six-month old Bentley Bats storefront in Cypress, Calif.
The baseball bats are manufactured in California. “I run factory-direct sales out here from the ‘Net, and he runs the manufacturing and some sales out there,” said Taylor Bentley, who is the only Springfield employee. Hours are by appointment.
