Albert Williams and his son, Derek Williams, opened Tropical Smoothie Café May 9 at 3811 S. Campbell, Ste. A. The 2,376-square-foot café, Missouri’s first franchise, seats 41. There are two full-time and 18 part-time employees. The Williamses signed a five-year lease with KPAC Realty, owners of the new strip center as well as the adjacent Parkcrest Center. Tropical Smoothie Café’s headquarters is in Shalimar, Fla. Hours of operation are 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m.–10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday.
Tony and Donna Zurzolo opened Tony Z’s Italian Ristorante & Lounge June 16 at 300 Terrace Road in Branson. The 10,000-square-foot restaurant seats 132 in the dining room and about 100 in the lounge. The Zurzolos purchased the building in March through Carol Jones, Realtors. Touché Designs Inc. remodeled the facility from a sports bar. The dining area has an Italian theme, while the lounge is designed as a speak-easy. More than 50 full-time and part-time employees work at the restaurant. The restaurant is open 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily. The lounge hours are 11 a.m.–1 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.–midnight Sunday.
Tate’s Decorative Concrete Design and Supply LLC, 2305 W. Vista, Ste. C, opened May 16. Owner William Tate installs decorative concrete and supplies related materials. The
1,200-square-foot location is leased through Wehr Properties. Tate has one full-time employee and one part-time employee. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
