Brothers Kevin and Paul Barone, left, closed the doors June 24 at their four-year-old New York Pizzeria at 2710 S. Campbell Ave. and reopened June 30 as Barone’s Italian Trattoria. The restaurant seats 90 and features authentic Italian dishes, Paul Barone said. The Barones opened their first New York Pizzeria in Springfield seven years ago, and the location at 3624 E. Sunshine remains open. Paul Barone said they plan to reopen the original 834 E. Division location as a pizzeria in August. Barone’s Italian Trattoria employs four full-time and about 11 part-time workers. Hours are 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Andrew Stevens May 18 opened A Chef of Your Own, a home-based business in which Stevens prepares meals in clients’ homes by appointment. He has an unlimited service area. With more than 20 years of experience as a chef and culinary educator at Ozarks Technical Community College, Stevens also offers food preparation consultation and cooking classes. He is certified through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to certify people in safety sanitation. Stevens can be reached at (417) 234-2042.

JetSetPets LLC, a wholesale dog toy company, opened its warehouse at 2733 E. Battlefield, Ste. 127. Business partners Christian and Jessica Hutson and Wayne and Carrie Haws purchased the business April 28 from its previous owners in Dresden, Maine, and moved the inventory to Springfield. “We make regionally themed dog squeaky toys,” Christian Hutson said of the business, which began in 1999. JetSetPets’ 28 products, landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State building for New York City souvenirs, are manufactured in Hong Kong, warehoused in Springfield and shipped to high-end dog boutiques, gift shops and museums, including the Grand Hyatt New York and Waldorf Astoria on Park Avenue in New York City. Hours are by appointment.

LaDon Mortgage reopened June 27 at 1442 E. Bradford Parkway. Owners Don and Lavita Kennemer moved their business, which provides financing for residential, commercial and investment properties, from 2902 N. 20th St. in Ozark, the original location since opening for business April 20. The 3,300-square-foot office in Castlegate provides room for the company’s 20 loan officers. Hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Circle B Chuckwagon & Cowboy Music Show opened March 1 at the 300-seat Circle B Chuckwagon Theater, 200 Jess Jo Parkway in Branson. Theater owners Kemp & Michele Horn and family, who had performed in the Black Hills of South Dakota since 1994, moved to Branson in 2004, said Michael Horn, manager. The show, in the former Dinner Bell Restaurant, is scheduled to run through 2005. There are seven cast members and three full-time and three part-time local staff members. Office hours are 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Dinner shows begin at 5 p.m. daily, with lunch shows at 11 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
