Branson Mountain Village has begun development in the Branson area. Located off Highway 13, north of Branson West on Lake Road 13-4, the residential development is secluded and within 30 minutes of Branson. The home sites have been chosen to preserve natural surroundings. The neighborhood has sewers and a state-approved water system. Lawson's Fine Jewelers, 2148 W. Chesterfield Blvd., held a grand opening recently. The store is owned and operated by Keith and Kimberly Lawson and carries a variety of loose diamonds, colored stones, estate and one-of-a-kind pieces. The Lawsons also do custom design. The Springfield Area Arts Council has moved into a new office space at 316-B E. McDaniel. The move to a ground-floor office offers easy accessibility and visibility to help the council serve the public. The Springfield Area Arts Council is a not-for-profit organization established in 1970 to provide advocacy for the Springfield area arts and collaboration among the area's arts organizations, artists and arts patrons.|ret||ret||tab|

The Design Agency, a full-service commercial architecture and interior design firm, has moved to 333 S. Jefferson, Ste. 200. Owners Daniel Scott, AIA, MBA, and Melissa Scott, ASID, have been serving Springfield and the surrounding area for seven years.
