Pizza House South, 4560 S. Campbell, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce June 2. Pizza House owner Dee Smith has an operating agreement with Corey Craven, manager of Heintz Lighting Center. Craven has ordered more pizza-making equipment with an eye toward opening franchises in Ozark and Branson. Smith opened the original Pizza House in 1962 at 1349 S. Glenstone. A landmark 13-story flour mill, built in 1901 and out of operation since the 1970s, provides a highly visible guidepost to The Table, a restaurant being constructed at its foot near the intersection of Chestnut Expressway and National Avenue.
