Auto-Magic Express held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Oct. 7 at 4115 S. Campbell. The new location has a 130-foot exterior wash tunnel with skylights and a "hot house" drying room. A full-service interior cleaning building has a conveyor where cars move to attendants while they vacuum and dust the cars' interiors, clean windows and apply tire shine and fragrance. A waiting room has a refreshment center and gift items. South of the interior tunnel are four auto express detailing bays for Polish Express, Interior Express, Carpet Express and windshield repair. The car wash uses acid-free, non-caustic detergents with soft cloths to remove road film and hydrocarbons.
