ColorGraphic Printing Inc., located at 925 E. Trafficway in Springfield, announced the installation of a Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 four-color press. The new Speedmaster was installed in early February. It will allow the company to become more productive as operators learn the technology, according to Mark Campbell, plant superintendent. The new press increases productivity through slightly higher speed and the ability to run 16-page sections, twice the capacity of the other presses. No additional staff was required to put the press into operation, but more personnel may be necessary eventually because of increased business. ColorGraphic is a 31-year-old Springfield-based commercial printer that provides all types of printed material and has accounts throughout the United States, in the United Kingdom and in Africa.
