The Hole Enchilada
The Hole Enchilada is open for business at 319 1/2 E. Walnut. Owners Buddy Voris and Steve Cranfill offer what Cranfill calls "Western-style Mexican food." The take-out eatery offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, with several house specialties, including The Hole Enchilada, The Hole Burrito and quesadillas. Breakfast fare includes breakfast burritos, enchiladas and eggs, and "Buddy's World-Famous Biscuits and Gravy." The salsa and green chile signature sauce used in entrees is made by Voris and Cranfill. The Hole Enchilada is open 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to late Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Cranfill said the Friday hours depend on activity downtown. The Hole Enchilada also offers catering.
Wild Birds Unlimited
Springfield Wild Birds Unlimited owners Larry and Sue Miller have opened a second location at 2914 S. Lone Pine. The store offers several custom birdseed mixes, backyard bird-feeding supplies, nature-themed books, toys, decorative flags, videos and other gifts. Wild Birds Unlimited also offers several feeders, including those from the Supreme Wooden Birdfeeder line that was developed by Wild Birds Unlimited President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Carpenter. The new store is open 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
