The Rehab Co. opened Oct. 1 at 1532 E. Primrose in the Primrose Square Offices, between MCI and McAlister's Deli. David Metz, PT, is the owner and offers outpatient manual orthopedic physical therapy. He has an office administrator and two other part-time employees. Metz offers musculoskeletal therapy post-surgical, for neck, back and shoulder pain. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but Metz offers therapy to patients by appointment after regular hours and on Saturday.
Graybar Electric, opened its 12th distribution center Sept. 17 in the Springfield Underground complex at 1904 N. LeCompte Road, a unique facility in the Graybar logistic network. Jim Sales is zone manager and he has hired 39 new employees from the Springfield area, bringing the company's total local employment to 44. The 186,000-square-foot warehouse and office features 15 truck docks and parking for visitors and employees all completely underground. Graybar is an international wholesale distributor of electrical and communications/data products. It will use the Springfield center to provide next-day service to customers in the seven-state area of Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Mississippi and Tennessee.
