Outdoor Home moved Feb. 11 to 3107 E. Chestnut Expwy. Owners R.D. and Bev Schmidt opened the store at 1661 E. St. Louis St. six years ago. Outdoor Home sells outdoor living products, such as patio furniture, and features barbecue grills and accessories. It is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and employs seven. Bev Schmidt said the move condensed its retail and warehouse facilities into one 8,000-square-foot location.
MoneyTree Lending, a California-based lender, opened a Springfield branch Nov. 1 at 4039 S. Fremont Ave. in the Kingsley Office Park. The office is managed by Ray Morales, who has a staff of seven. MoneyTree Lending, founded in 1986, offers FHA and VA loans and is an authorized originator of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conventional and non-conforming loan products. The company's Web site, www.moneytreelending.com/springfield, allows customers to apply for and obtain loan approval online.
Magnolia Square, a skilled nursing facility, opened Jan. 31 at 1502 W. Edgewood St. It has 120 beds and offers physical, occupational and speech therapies. Amenities include private and semi-private rooms, outdoor courtyards, beauty and barber care and outdoor activities. Central Arkansas Nursing Centers of Fort Smith, Ark., operates the facility and Barb Clayton is the administrator.
Clean, The Uniform Company opened a $2.5 million plant at 1609 E. Falcon in Joplin on March 4. The plant, with more than 40,000-square-feet, is at the Joplin Airport Industrial Park. The company offers apparel rental, purchase and laundering services and rental of associated cleaning items. It has more than 1,000 business clients in the Midwest and has more than 360 company-wide employees.
