Ozark has a new art gallery. The 3rd Street Gallery opened June 14 at 203 N. Third St. The gallery features original artwork, including paintings, photography and sculptures created by local and regional artists. It is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Sisters Cheryl and Cathy Childs (left) own the gallery.

Persuading Aristotle Corporate Training, a consulting and training service for small businesses, opened June 1 at 305 E. Walnut St., Ste. 220. Owner and founder Barbara Nelson offers business reviews and market analyses to help small-business owners develop communications plans that position and brand their companies, she said. Nelson is an adjunct faculty member in the communications departments at Southwest Missouri State and Drury universities. Services are available 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

State Rep. Craig Hosmer campaign office opened at 332 E. Commercial St. June 27. He is running for State Senate in the 30th District, which covers Springfield. Hosmer is a Democrat serving his 12th year in the Missouri House of Representatives. The election is Nov. 5. Hosmer is a Marshfield High School graduate and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He earned his law degree at George Washington University Law School.

Sunshine Collectibles, owned by Brian and Cheryl Simkins, held a grand opening June 29 at 1418 W. Sunshine St. Sunshine Collectibles is a flea market featuring tools, house wares, electronic games, toys, books and compact discs. There is space for more than 70 booths and an additional area for furniture. Hours of operation are 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
