Shaughnessy, formerly known as SKH Paper, moved from a 12,000-square-foot building at 3107 E. Chestnut Expwy. to a newly constructed 33,000-square-foot facility in the Roberts Industrial Park. Shaughnessy moved April 15 to 1128 FR 123 (Westgate Avenue), Ste. A. General Manager Chris Shaefer said the move allows for increased production and staff. There are 13 employees. The company is a wholesale distributor of office paper and packaging products.
Springfield Lighting and Dcor opened April 15 at 1415 E. Battlefield Road, the former Pier 1 Imports building. Co-owners Carole Ann Burgess and Cheryl Kreider both have nearly 20 years of experience in the lighting business, Burgess said. The store sells lamps, chandeliers, track lighting, ceiling fans and accessories, including custom ironworks by Webb Welding, for home and office use. Springfield Lighting and Dcor products also are featured at three Jacobsen Appliances locations in the Ozarks. Burgess said there are 12 employees in the 10,000-square-foot store.
Allstate Insurance Co. agent Carla DeMarco opened her agency June 1 at 1031 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. 115. DeMarco said she offers a complete line of insurance products including auto, property and life policies. Her office is open 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Allstate provides insurance products to more than 14 million households and has approximately 13,000 agents in the United States and Canada.
