Lizhi Zhao opened a permanent home for his New Shanghai Circus in Branson on Aug. 1. The acrobatic troupe from China has performed in various Branson theaters for eight years, but the 900-seat, $2.9 million New Shanghai Theatre, 645 State Highway 165, is its first devoted building. The show features more than 40 Chinese acrobats performing dances and maneuvers such as jar juggling. “It’s so different, and it’s really wonderful that they’re in a theater that reflects the uniqueness of the show,” said Cindy Merry, Zhao’s marketing consultant. Zhao, owner and CEO of the group, employs more than 70 people at the theater, developed by Bill and Janet Dailey. Show tickets are free for children 5 and under and $29.95 for adults. There are two shows daily, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., Saturday through Thursday.

John Davis and Dennis Stricklinn June 28 opened Best Security Services Inc. at 2055 S. Stewart. It is their fourth location with two in Arkansas and another Missouri location in Jonesboro. Six employees install and operate residential and commercial security systems starting at $29.95 per month (residential) and $35.95 (commercial). Davis and Stricklinn acquired no financing for the office. Hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Trent Liebman and Spencer Beezley opened EZ Transitions LLC on Aug. 1. Liebman and Beezley, both Drury University graduates, coordinate help on moving days for individuals and businesses through contracts that cover services for packing, shipping and other moving issues. Prices for services vary widely, ranging from about $400 to $10,000.

No financing was acquired to start the business, which has a mailing address at 4319 S. National, Ste. 308 but does not accept foot traffic. The company’s Web site is www.eztransitions.org. Liebman and Beezley generally work 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
