Time Out Café opened Dec. 2 at 739 W. Dallas in Buffalo. Owner Jane Shewmaker Hale described the establishment as “a sports-theme, no-booze bar with autographed legend sports memorabilia decorations.” The 1,550-square-foot facility in Hale’s Crossing, which also houses Hale’s Sportswear, has four full-time and three part-time employees. Hale also owns Hale Fireworks LLC, a 48-year-old company with retail locations in 13 states and wholesale operations throughout the United States. Time Out Café is open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.
Law Offices of M.C. Stoffregen PC opened Nov. 1 at 3039 S. Fort Ave., Building B. Michael Stoffregen, a 1998 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, is the sole employee of the practice, which operates from 1,200 square feet in Evergreen Office Park. Stoffregen left Neale & Newman LLP in October after nearly six years to launch his own practice, which is limited to estate planning and elder law. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
3rd St. Books opened Dec. 21 at 101 S. Third St. in Ozark. Owner Stephen Ray leases the 2,000-square-foot storefront from Larry Lipscomb for an undisclosed amount. Lipscomb recently performed a historic renovation on the building, formerly known as the Combs Building, Ray said. Ray managed ABC Books on North Glenstone for five years prior to opening his own shop. Hours for the used bookstore are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
