Allan Reeves opened Dead Crow Customs Inc. Oct. 30 at 3048 E. Elm, Ste. B. The full-service motorcycle shop has three full-time employees. Reeves said the 1,600-square-foot shop caters to the American V-Twin market and offers service, parts, accessories andapparel. Custom fabrication such as hand-formed sheet metal – gas tanks, oil tanks, fenders and fairings – also is available. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Beckerdite Music Co. in Marshfield is under new ownership and operating in a new location. Rick Hughes purchased the business, which was founded by Paul Beckerdite in 1983, from Susan and Hoover Case July 1. The store moved from its 2,700-square-foot building at 111 E. Jefferson to a 6,000-square-foot showroom with classrooms at 1100 Spur Drive Jan. 3. Hughes has seven full-time and two part-time employees, who sell and service instruments for 25 school districts across the state. Hours are 8:15 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
Andrew and Chantel Earl opened Box of Rain Sept. 8 from a home office at 1345 E. Portland. The company provides air and water filtration and purification systems to commercial and residential clients. The Earls are the local franchisees and distributors of EcoQuest International, a 45-year-old company based in Greeneville, Tenn.
