Fuddruckers Restaurant opened Aug. 23 in Dixie Station at 1615 W. Highway 76, Branson. Manager Danny Clark said that franchisees Charlie Foss and Stuart Salisbury also own Fuddruckers and three Schultz and Dooley’s restaurants in Springfield. The 5,000-square-foot Branson location seats 216 and has about 35 full-time employees. There are about 250 Fuddruckers nationwide, Clark said. Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Scott and Valerie Gayer purchased Apple Market, 707 S. Campbell Ave., Aug. 23 and renamed it Downtown Market. Scott Gayer said that he and his wife purchased the 10,000-square-foot store from John Porter. Gayer declined to disclose the purchase price. The store includes a dairy department, frozen foods, a liquor department and a meat shop. There are eight full-time and two part-time employees in addition to the Gayers. Hours are 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.
Cocoa-Falls opened Dec. 8 inside Forever & Always Bridal Salon at 1155 W. 76 Country Blvd. in Branson. Owner Christine Biellier rents chocolate fountains for wedding receptions and events in the Springfield/Branson area. The stainless steel chocolate fountains are 44 inches tall, 18 inches wide and weigh 110 pounds. Rental includes 20 pounds of Belgian chocolate, setup, clean up and an attendant during the event, Biellier said. The shop is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and available for events by appointment only.
