Tom and John Gregoroski opened Lucy's Chinese Food at 218 E. Central on Jan. 2. The brothers also operate restaurants at 3330 S. Campbell Ave. and 2456 E. Sunshine St. The new location is near Drury University and offers dine-in or carryout. Lunch prices average $4.50 and dinners prices average $6.50, according to John Gregoroski. Clinton E. Kasten opened StoneBrook Capital LLC on Dec. 7 at 1531 E. Bradford Parkway, Ste. 303. With StoneBrook, Kasten is looking to purchase controlling interest in other companies as an investment tool. He said he's still looking for his first investment in Springfield after spending 15 years with the Kasten Group LLC in O'Fallon, Ill. Kasten said he wants to buy into three or four businesses that make $2 million to $10 million in annual revenues and have potential for growth. Kasten doesn't work set hours. Phone: (417) 882-9889.
West Coast Moving & Delivery
Michael Davis started West Coast Moving & Delivery on Oct. 5. Davis purchased a used U-Haul truck for $4,000 and specializes in small residential and business moves. Moves cost $70 per hour and a two-hour minimum is required. He said he and one employee would travel as far as St. Louis or Kansas City. They work by appointment. Phone: (417) 496-2441.

Jane H. Fast started HomeCheck Springfield LLC on Jan. 2. Fast checks on houses when their owners are out of town. Her basic service is $15 per visit and includes collecting mail, running water, checking doors and monitoring for storm damage. Optional services include pet and plant care.
