Heather Ameye and Kristy Sloan on Nov. 18 opened Rusty Moose Lodge Décor at 3033 E. Sunshine St. The business partners sell rustic furniture and accessories for homes and businesses. Furniture prices range from $200 to $7,000. Ameye said she and Sloan plan to move in June from their current 1,200-square-foot showroom to a 6,200-square-foot showroom at 1722 S. Lenny's Sub Shop
Bryan and Holly Powers on Feb. 2 opened Lenny's Sub Shop at 4121 S. Fremont. Their signature sandwiches are Philadelphia cheese steaks and Italian subs. Bryan Powers said they offer larger sandwiches than competitors - 15 inches with a pound of meat and cheese - though Lenny's also offers traditional portions. He said a 15-inch cheese steak sandwich is $9.25. This is the first Lenny's Sub Shop franchise store in Missouri. The couple bought franchise rights for a nine-county area and plan to open nine more locations within five years. Branch Manager Janis Creek on Dec. 29 helped open a Peoples Bank of the Ozarks location at 2471 W. Jackson in Ozark. The bank is the ninth full-service location for Nixa-based Peoples Bank of the Ozarks. Hours: The lobby is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, and the drive-through is open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday.
