Lori Viles opened Vivo Salon LLC on Feb. 6 at 1300 E. Republic Road in James River Place. Viles offers hair cutting, coloring and special-occasion styling along with eyebrow waxing services. Ron Mark, Alicia Tyler, and Floyd and Jeremy Jett opened Title & License Co. LLC on Oct. 1 at 245 W. U.S. Highway 60 in Republic. They act as middlemen between motorists and the state, expediting services involving car titles and drivers licenses. Mark said they usually renew a car title in Greene County within two days, compared to the typical 15-day process. Service fees are $10. Hours: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Linda Lenox and a silent partner Oct. 17 opened Summit Employer Services LLC, which does business as Summit Services. Summit Services provides bookkeeping, accounting, payroll management, tax preparation, U.S. Small Business Administration loan assistance and business plan development at its 1909 E. Pasta Express

Matt Krupa and Michial Rachaner opened Pasta Express on March 13 at 3025 W. Republic Road, Ste. 100, in the Golden Pond Marketplace. The restaurant seats 75 and offers around 30 menu items between $3.50 and $10. Krupa owns the other Pasta Express, 3250 E. Battlefield Road, and is looking to expand the franchise.
