The Turner Center
CoxHealth on April 22 rededicated the Medical Arts Center, 1000 E. Primrose St., as The Bill and Ann Turner Women’s and Children’s Center. The 20-year-old building was renamed in honor of Bill and Ann Turner’s donation of an undisclosed amount for the $1.5 million renovation, which included a new external entrance, a boutique, enhanced consultation services for The Women’s Center, the addition of a 14-bed pediatric urgent care unit, new signage, revamped common area and restrooms, and a new garden. The renovations were part of the Centers of Excellence concept CoxHealth adopted in 1997 and first implemented in 2004 with the rededication of the Cox Medical Plaza 2 building as the Hulston Cancer Center. The Turner Center doesn’t have set hours, according to spokesman Chris Whitley. Phone: (417) 269-3000.
