Member-owned CU Community Credit Union opened a second branch on May 1. The new location, 1017 E. Republic Road, offers a full-range of services from checking accounts to auto loans, according to Marketing Director Jenny Reynolds. Its first branch is at 818 N. Benton Ave., where it’s operated since 1982. CU Community Credit Union was established in 1934 and has $47 million in assets between both branches. Lobby hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Wednesday, 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.–noon Saturday. Family First Mortgage Corp.

Frank Rippee, branch owner and manager, opened Family First Mortgage Corp. on April 11 at 600 W. Republic Road, Ste. A-108, in the James River Offices. Rippee and 10 employees make residential and commercial real estate loans. Rippee said his office’s niche is new construction loans. Family First Mortgage Corp. is a Florida-based Fortune 500 company that was established in 1979. Rippee said he pays monthly fees of $1,500 to the corporate office for the rights to the branch, but he doesn’t pay any other traditional franchise fees or royalties. Leo A. Tokarczyk DDS PC

Dr. Leo and Anita Tokarczyk relocated his dental practice April 10 to 4777 S. National Ave. The office had operated at 1900 S. National Ave. in the St. John’s National Avenue Medical Building since 1982. Leo Tokarczyk specializes in periodontics.

The new location, a $1 million freestanding building, has seven treatment rooms with the latest equipment. Anita Tokarczyk, who serves as vice president, designed the interior with a wall-sized water feature and Italian Renaissance-style murals. Hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
