Project Funway
Anna Jungers and Mandy Britton opened Project Funway on June 19 at 900 E. Battlefield, Ste. 172 inside m*b*tweens. Britton owns m*b*tweens and partnered with Jungers for the new venture; the companies share space in Battlefield Marketplace. Project Funway provides birthday parties for girls ages 7 to 12. Jungers said that parties start at $160 for up to six girls and cost $25 per additional guest. Project Funway provides and mails invitations as part of the birthday party package. Each party guest has her hair and makeup done and is then given the opportunity to try on clothing in the store. Partygoers then walk down the runway in a Project Funway fashion show, Jungers said. Bass Pro Shops White River Outpost
Bass Pro Shops opened its 34th store, Bass Pro Shops White River Outpost, on June 8 at 1 Bass Pro Drive in Branson. The 40,000-square-foot store, a Branson Landing anchor tenant on the shore of Lake Taneycomo in downtown Branson, employs more than 150. A 16-slip marina will be added later this fall, according to Bass Pro Shops spokeswoman Katie Mitchell. The property also will feature a 6,800-square-foot floating restaurant called White River Fish Co. Lee Beasley is the store’s general manager.
