Scott and Susie Hertzke opened Cartridge World on June 26 at 1842 S. Glenstone Ave. in the Plaza Shopping Center. The Hertzkes employ four at the franchise store, where they refill ink and toner cartridges. They lease the 3,000-square-foot space from Plaza Shoes. Cartridge World employees test all cartridges before they leave the store to ensure quality and compatibility, Susie Hertzke said. Cartridge World, which is based in Australia, also offers a delivery service to all businesses in the Springfield area. Joshawa Trader is store manager. The Hertzkes plan to open two more locations in the Springfield area within the year. Another franchisee operates a South Campbell Avenue store. The Kid’s Court
The Kid’s Court moved July 5 to 1724 E. Battlefield, Ste. B, from 3250 E. Battlefield, Ste. G. Owner Rhonda Reese said the higher traffic counts at Glenstone and Battlefield drew her to the new location. The store, which employs three, offers upscale clothing for children up to size 16. The Kid’s Court also carries baby gifts and accessories. Reese said the new location provides more selling space than the previous one, but has less storage area for merchandise. Reese leases the 4,000 square-foot space from KimCo Reality. Hours: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Phone: (417) 889-4427.
CoxHealth Internal Medicine for Women
CoxHealth opened the CoxHealth Internal Medicine For Women clinic May 15 at 3850 S. National, Ste. 700. Carland Girth, interim manager, said the clinic consolidated services to focus on the needs of women. “Hopefully, women can come in one time, get everything arranged and done in one visit,” she said. Laura DenOuden and Mira Choe are the clinic doctors; there are seven employees. Sandra Lyon became clinic manager July 17. Hours: 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; visits are by appointment.
