After 102 years in Springfield, Welhener & Saville Inc. moved June 19 to 1580 W. Skyline Ave. in Ozark from 505 W. Commercial St. Owner Jim Conley said the company needed more space, and the new location offers easier access to the highway system. Welhener & Saville’s 10 employees manufacture, sell and install custom canvas and metal awnings, patio covers, ornamental ironwork, custom iron gates, railings and spiral staircases. Artistic Concrete Staining & Engraving LLC
Jesse Mach opened Artistic Concrete Staining & Engraving LLC on March 1 at 2218 E. Shady Glen Drive. Mach and company apply unique and permanent staining and engraving to concrete. They create custom artwork in concrete by forming a template and then using it to stain and engrave images into the surface. Mach said the company could use existing concrete or start with new concrete. “We’re only limited by a person’s imagination,” he said. Costs of services begin at $4.50 per square foot. Murphy Tractor & Equipment
Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. Inc. held a soft opening June 12 for a new location at 1401 State Highway MM. A grand opening is planned for Aug. 24. Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. has its headquarters in Wichita, Kan., and has 16 locations throughout the Midwest. The 25,000-square-foot space includes eight full-service bays, which service heavy construction equipment. Bill Shank is the Springfield branch manager.
