Bill and Julie Davis opened Doe’s Eat Place on June 10 at 1232 E. Trafficway. General Manager Dennis Fowler said the franchise restaurant specializes in large steaks and Delta-style tamales. The Davises own the 6,500-square-foot building and employ 26, Fowler said. Steaks are priced by the pound, about $18 per pound, and entrees cost an average of $27 to $31. The original Doe’s Eat Place opened in 1941 in Greenville, Miss., according to the restaurant’s Web site, www.doeseatplace.com. Fowler said the restaurant will open for lunch later this fall. Spa Chateau
John Q. Hammons on June 4 added the $6 million Spa Chateau to Chateau on the Lake Resort at 415 N. State Highway 265 in Branson. Spa Director Kristi Gilmore said the two-story, 14,000-square-foot Spa Chateau is the flagship for Hammons’ future spa developments. Forty employees offer more than 50 services, including hydrotherapy and aromatherapy and yoga, tai chi and Pilates classes. Hours: 9 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday. Ameriprise Financial Inc.
John Rehani opened Ameriprise Financial Inc. on July 5 at 1524 E. Primrose, Ste. A. Rehani was with the company, formerly American Express Financial Advisors, for 25 years before opening his own franchise. Rehani, a financial adviser, planner and investment manager, specializes in retirement planning and helping clients who have been laid off or are changing careers. “It’s all about the moment someone leaves his or her employer,” he said.
