Paul Sundy, Jared Carr, Randy Gildehaus and Mike Heslin opened Big Whiskey’s American Bar & Grill on July 17 at 311 Park Central East, next to Icon Nightclub, which Sundy also co-owns. Branson Hotel Royale
Ben Bahmani bought Branson Hotel Royale on Aug. 26 for more than $2 million. Bahmani said he plans to invest $100,000 to refurbish the 85,000-square-foot hotel at 1000 W. Main St. in Branson, just west of the Highway 65 and Highway 76 interchange. Bahmani owns the hotel through Kansas City-based American Management Inc. and plans to rename it Grand Royale Inn. Richelle Massengale on May 23 bought New Generation Tutorial Academy, 1701 W. Sunshine St., Ste. G. She works with children and adults and charges $35 an hour for one-on-one tutoring and standardized test preparation. Hours: 2–6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and by appointment Friday.
