J.P. Jones opened Country Charm Wedding Chapel on Sept. 1 at 5386 State Highway FF in Fordland. Jones is a minister and conducts wedding ceremonies. His wife, Debbie Patrick, and three adult children help run the chapel. Services range from $200 to $800 and can include a reception.
Jones is renting the chapel from Cass Chapel Baptist Church, which moved out of the building more than a year ago. Jones said he plans to donate about 10 percent of revenues to Christian charities, including Springfield Victory Mission. Hours are by appointment. Phone: (417) 859-7017.
Sound Envision
Luke Anderson and Tobin Winslow opened Sound Envision on Nov. 1 at 1100 Spur Drive, Ste. 100, in Marshfield. The duo sells car audio and electronic equipment, including remote starters and home theater equipment. Their store is 1,600 square feet, and they have one installation bay. Hours: 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday. Phone: (417) 859-7133.
Monica’s Market
Monica Robinson opened Monica’s Market on Sept. 15 at 454 W. Jackson St. in Marshfield. Robinson carries about 2,000 new and used books for sale or trade. “I have a little bit of everything for everybody,” said Robinson. Hours: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Phone: (417) 468-3444.
