Carla Stine opened Pastiche Décor & Design LLC on Jan. 5 at 400 E. Walnut St., Ste. 100. Stine sells furniture and gifts from a 1,350-square-foot showroom inside Dan and Melissa Scott’s 400 Place. Furniture prices range from $150 to $2,500, while gift prices range from $10 to $100. Stine said a quarter of her inventory is dedicated to kids décor. Global Assist Network
Alex Scott is director of Global Assist Network Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization that began operations Oct. 1 at 1609 N. Highway CC in Nixa. Global Assist Network specializes in humanitarian logistics. For example, if a local church collected food and other supplies for flood victims, Global Assist Network would either pay for the transportation of the supplies, move the supplies itself or arrange for the movement of the supplies. The group services needs internationally and has helped ship about 40 containers since it started. Scott, who was formerly with Nixa-based Compassion Alliance, said the group’s budget is about $350,000, based solely on donations. Hours: 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Realty Executives of Republic
David and Mary Sekunda opened Realty Executives of Republic on Dec. 14 at 933 Lindsey Drive in Republic. The office is one of about 800 franchise locations for 40-year-old Phoenix-based Realty Executives International. Realty Executives of Republic is a full-service brokerage, dealing mostly with residential property. Individual agents negotiate customer fees and don’t pay traditional commissions to the brokerage. Instead, they usually pay a flat $595 regardless of the price of the home sold, though that is somewhat dependent on an agent’s sales volume, David Sekunda said. Realty Executives of Republic currently has eight agents, but Sekunda expects to have about 40 agents within a year. Hours: 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment Saturday.
