Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. on Jan. 15 opened its first Springfield restaurant and eighth in Missouri. The corporately owned restaurant at 3720 S. Glenstone Ave. is managed by Richard O’Brien and can accommodate 212 patrons. Red Robin restaurants feature 22 gourmet burgers, all-you-can-eat steak fries and numerous mixed drinks. Founded in 1969, the 345-restaurant chain is based in Greenwood Village, Colo. The Springfield location employs 150 people. U.S. Automotive
Terry Hyden opened U.S. Automotive Inc. on Oct. 2 at 1830 N. Deffer Drive in Nixa. Alan Quackenbush is service manager for the auto repair shop, which is Hyden’s second. The first U.S. Automotive opened 18 years ago at 1753 S. West Bypass in Springfield. The Nixa shop specializes in preventive maintenance and mechanical repair work, but does not offer auto-body repair. Hours: 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 725-3586.
Perkin Marketing, Perkin Media
Bill Perkin moved the offices of Perkin Marketing LLC and Perkin Media LLC on Oct. 1 to 1359 E. St. Louis St. from 3333 S. National Ave. Perkin is operating from the KSPR-TV building after he and South Bend, Ind.-based Schurz Communications jointly purchased KSPR last fall. Schurz Communications, which is the parent company of KYTV, owns KSPR’s building and equipment. Perkin will hold KSPR’s Federal Communications Commission operating license, pending regulatory approval early this year. Perkin Media was created specifically for the KSPR acquisition. Perkin Marketing is an advertising consulting firm established by Perkin in 1988. Hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 823-9444.
