Steve and Erin Strobel opened Dynamics Gymnastics LLC on Oct. 1. The gymnastics studio is located in a 19,000-square-foot building at 2100 E. Pythian St., formerly The Reef volleyball facility south of Cooper Sports Complex. Erin Strobel has been a gymnastics coach for 10 years. She and five other coaches teach competitive gymnastics and cheerleading to students ranging in age from 18 months to 18 years, Steve Strobel said. Beginning students pay $32 per month. CrossBreed Holsters
Mark Craighead relocated CrossBreed Holsters LLC on Feb. 1 to 818 E. State Highway 174 in Republic. After just one year in business designing and manufacturing gun holsters, Craighead moved to a 1,200-square-foot light manufacturing commercial space from a 400-square-foot home garage. Craighead and two part-time employees have made about 2,000 holsters since January 2006. The holsters, which cost $55 to $68 each and are designed to conceal handguns under clothing, are sold at Kelley’s Police & Tactical Supply LLC, 1316 W. Sunshine St., and on Craighead’s Web site, www.crossbreedholster.com. Craighead said 30 percent of his holsters are bought by police officers. Craighead doesn’t accept walk-in customers at his manufacturing space. Hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon–6 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 732-5011.
NubeCo
The Nuber family started NubeCo on Sept. 1. The home-based business offers wood-floor refinishing, carpet dry cleaning and tile-floor stripping and refinishing. Rates start at $78 per job, according to Darrell Nuber, director of operations. Nuber’s wife, Brenda, is president, and their son, Tony, is vice president.
