Punky Fedora, April Brake, Laura Wilhite and Sondra Utke – operating as 4 Pals LLC – opened a Quiznos on March 28 at 3250 E. Battlefield Road in Fox Grape Plaza. They are first-time franchisees for the Denver-based sub-shop chain, which has more than 500 locations in 21 countries. They aren’t business beginners, though. Fedora, for example, is a real estate broker and owns Springfield-based RES Real Estate Services. Their Quiznos restaurant can seat 25 people, Fedora said. Hours: 10:30 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:30 a.m.–8 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 882-9990.
Perfect Pitch
Perry W. Mark started Perfect Pitch on March 1. A piano player for 30 years, Mark recently gave up a management position at Hydracise International Corp., an exercise equipment seller in downtown Springfield, to become a self-employed piano tuner. Mark, who also spent years as a computer-service technician, said his piano-playing experience is an asset for tuning the instruments. He charges $55 for basic, on-site tuning and works by appointment. Phone: (417) 827-9463.

The Rolfs also own locations in Nixa, Ozark, Springfield (next to Battlefield Market Place), Joplin and Rogers, Ark. They are in negotiations to buy two Back Yard Burgers from Susan McCollegan – 4020 S. Campbell Ave. and one in Fayetteville, Ark. The Branson location can seat 140.
