Dean Falk relocated Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pastas on March 26 to 2445 N. Kansas Expressway, Ste. G, from 203 E. Kearney St. It is one of three Springfield locations Falk said he purchased from franchisee Singh Hundal in November. The other two locations – 521 S. Glenstone Ave. and 3342 S. National Ave. – were renovated under Falk’s ownership. Falk, a first-time Mr. Goodcents franchisee, wants to open at least one more location in Springfield, though he has no immediate plans. De Soto, Kan.-based Mr. Goodcents was founded in 1989 and now has 130 locations in 14 states, serving 18 varieties of sub sandwiches, pastas, salads and desserts. Bob Price opened Price Financial Group LLC on Jan. 1 at 1949 E. Sunshine St., Bldg. 2, Ste. 100, in the American National Corporate Centre. Price Financial Group is independently owned and offers a full array of insurance products through American National Property and Casualty Co., as well as investment services, including annuities and estate planning. Price spent 26 years in the insurance and financial planning fields in St. Louis and Houston before he and his wife moved to Springfield a year ago. Hours: 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. H2O Swimwear
Rená Bass opened H2O Swimwear LLC on Feb. 12 at 1451 E. Cherry St. Bass carries about 1,000 designer swimsuits and cover-ups from Australia, Brazil, Peru and the United States. The swimsuit pieces are sold separately and in sets and most full swimsuits sell for $60 to $240. She previously sold swimsuits from her boat at area lakes, but decided to open a store in space she wasn’t using at Kokomo Tans, which she also owns. The swimsuit store and tanning salon have different hours and separate employees, Bass said. H20 Swimwear hours: 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday.
