Heather Robbins opened Girlfriends & Giggles LLC on Oct. 6 at 2030 S. Stewart Ave. Girlfriends & Giggles targets girls ages 4–16 for parties, primarily birthday parties. A group of eight youngsters can have a two-hour theme party with costumes, fancy hairdos and photos for $240. Robbins said she also offers spa parties for her teenage clientele. Robbins is a photographer who owned and operated Robbins Photography for four years from her home, but she moved Robbins Photography into commercial space adjacent to Girlfriends & Giggles when she launched her new business. Robbins Photography specializes in children’s photography, though it also does family and high school senior portraits, Robbins said. Hours: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, or by appointment. Big Time Results

On Oct. 1, Noah Alldredge launched Big Time Results, a home-based personal-trainer business. Alldredge – a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer through American College of Sports Medicine – travels to his clients’ homes for training and consulting sessions, which he said typically last an hour. Training sessions cost $40 to $50 each, he said. Hours are by appointment. Phone: (417) 849-4333.

Hot Shots Espresso

A Hot Shots Espresso kiosk opened Oct. 15 in the student union on Evangel University’s campus. Hot Shots Espresso offers coffee drinks and baked goods, such as muffins and scones, according to Evangel Food Services Director Melinda Love. Evangel is contracting with Springfield-based Hot Shots Espresso, which is co-owned by Evangel alumni Levi Kulenkamp and Bryan Sanders. Hot Shots Espresso has another location with dual drive-through lanes at 2938 E. Sunshine St. Hours: 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 4–9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
