Michael Kyle said they relocated the store from 1316 E. Battlefield Road for more room, higher visibility and lower lease payments. The new space adds 600 square feet, allowing for a more diversified inventory, Kyle said, while declining to disclose the lease rate. Backcountry Outfitters teaches free fly-tying classes on Saturday mornings, and staff conducts guided fishing trips throughout southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. Hours: 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday. Phone: (417) 889-6548.
