Mark and Nadia Gwinn opened Nadia’s European Market on Dec. 14 at 3023 E. Sunshine St. They sell European foods, including sausage, cheese, chocolate, caviar and jam. Centurion Security
Linda McDowell and her son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Sarah McDowell, started Centurion Security on Oct. 21. Linda McDowell is 51 percent owner in the home-based business that sells, installs and services fire- and security-alarm systems, security-access systems and closed-circuit TV systems. The McDowells are negotiating for office space in Willard and plan to move in early March, said Russ McDowell, who has 20 years of experience with security companies, mostly recently with American Detection Specialists Inc. Mutual of Omaha
Mutual of Omaha on Jan. 15 moved its Hammons Tower office to 1435 E. Bradford Parkway, Ste. 105. Brian Askins is general manager of the 5,800-square-foot insurance office, which was in roughly 3,300 square feet in Hammons Tower for about 20 years. Omaha, Neb.-based Mutual of Omaha offers mutual funds, annuities, life insurance and long-term care insurance, according to administrative manager Judy Baldwin. Three employees have been added since the move, Baldwin said. The East Bradford Parkway site also serves as division headquarters for district sales offices in Little Rock, Ark.; Memphis, Tenn.; Tulsa, Okla.; Jackson and Tupelo, Miss.; and Joplin and St. Louis.
