Lenny’s Sub Shop

A trio from St. Louis bought out Lenny’s Sub Shops in Springfield. Adam Ehrlich, Adrienne Rich and John Davis on Feb. 1 bought two two-year-old Lenny’s Sub Shops – 4121 S. Fremont, Ste. 128, and 1903 S. Glenstone Ave. – and the rights to open eight more in the Springfield market from franchisees Bryan and Holly Powers. The newly acquired market includes Springfield, Branson and Joplin, and Ehrlich said they plan to build out within five years. They already operate three St. Louis-area Lenny’s under River Cities LLC, and they own the rights to the St. Louis, Jefferson City and Cape Girardeau markets, according to Ehrlich. Rodney Stoll is district manager in Springfield. Memphis, Tenn.-based Lenny’s Sub Shops has more than 160 locations in 20 states, according to its Web site, www.lennys.com. Hours: 10:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 877-0301.

RSC Equipment Rental opened Feb. 15 at 6876 W. State Highway M in Republic. The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company has more than 470 locations that rent commercial construction equipment, such as air compressors, backhoes and scissor lifts. There are more than 10 Missouri locations, including one at 3140 E. Kearney St. in Springfield. RSC Equipment Rental opened the 6,450-square-foot store to tap into expected growth in western Greene County, according to spokeswoman Heather Schlichting. Roger Ellison is store manager, and Mark Elwood is district manager. Hours: 7 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 877-8024.

Paycom

Oklahoma City-based Internet payroll company Paycom entered the Springfield market Feb. 1. Kemmi Rusciano, former director of marketing for The Payroll Co., was hired as Springfield sales manager. Rusciano is responsible for adding Springfield clients to the company’s roster of 5,500 clients, according to Tulsa, Okla.-based District Sales Manager Christopher Dingess. Clients enter employee and salary information into a Web-base application, and Paycom representatives in Oklahoma City process the information, cut checks and file tax deposits, Dingess said. Rusciano, who also owns party business Ellie-berry Pie LLC, currently works from home, but officials plan to open commercial space and add sales representatives within 18 months, Dingess said. The 10-year-old company has offices in eight cities from Denver to Cary, N.C. Nick Nelson, a Tulsa-based sales representative, has been prospecting clients for two months in Joplin, Dingess said. Hours are by appointment. Phone: (417) 881-2600.
