Shelley Hampton is working to whip Branson-area residents into shape via her Shape Shifters Pilates, which opened March 25 at 2700 Green Mountain Drive. Hampton founded Shape Shifters Pilates in 1998 in Springfield. The 1,000-square-foot Branson studio has Pilates classes and “mind-body rejuvenation courses,” according to Hampton, who said she limits Pilates classes to no more than 10 students in order to provide one-on-one attention. The 8,000-square-foot Springfield studio, 1317 E. Republic Road, has Pilates classes, massage therapy, weight training and yoga, she said. 5 Spice China Grill
Brothers Johnson and John Tan opened 5 Spice China Grill on April 1 at 2058 S. Glenstone Ave., formerly Ocean Zen, which the Tans moved nearly a year ago to 600 E. Battlefield Road. While Ocean Zen serves cuisine with a mixture of Asian and European influences, 5 Spice China Grill serves strictly Chinese cuisine, according to Ocean Zen Manager Colin Yates. Dishes include wok-fired chicken and vegetable lettuce wraps, Peking style crispy-skin duck, and Hong Kong-style ruby crystal shrimp, Yates said. Dinner prices range from $12 to $27, he said. John G. White and Toni Eakins opened Always Realty LLC on Feb. 1 at 24 Industry Road in Rogersville. Eakins serves as broker for the firm, which works with both commercial and residential clients, according to White.
