Owner Becky Gresham and 20 employees reopened Bekemeier’s Restaurant on July 1 at 111 Dempsey Drive in Rogersville. Gresham first opened the restaurant in February, but an April 1 fire led to a three-month rebuilding project. The 4,000-square-foot restaurant has a country atmosphere, Gresham said, with cedar-lined walls, checkered tablecloths and light dulcimer music in the background. The restaurant, which seats 192, focuses on “old country cooking,” Gresham said, serving homemade biscuits, apple butter, corn muffins and cream pie. On Friday and Saturday, Bekemeier’s features all-you-can-eat catfish. Hours: 6:30 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m.–8 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 753–2779.
Coach
Store manager Becky Auman, along with three managers and 19 part-time associates, opened high-end handbag and accessory retailer Coach on June 27 at Battlefield Mall, 2825 S. Glenstone Ave. The store also offers billfolds, jewelry, sunglasses, scarves and shoes, Auman said. Coach is located near Starbucks in the mall. Hours: 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 889–2045.

The 4,000-square-foot restaurant, which seats 150, features steaks and pastas prepared by chef Danny Macrelli. The restaurant, owned by Terry and Regetta Long, is open for breakfast, and Sunday’s $11.99 brunch includes an omelet bar. J.W. Long’s has a banquet room that seats 60 to 80 as well as a media center, Cologna said. Hours: 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 859–5647.
