Jeff Frizzell opened a Fitness Together studio Sept. 4 at 1628 E. Republic Road in French Quarter. Fitness Together is a national franchise with 400 sites and 600 franchises sold around the world. The Springfield studio is the 12th in Missouri. Frizzell employs three personal trainers offering nutrition analyses and customized exercise programs; all sessions are by appointment. According to www.fitnesstogether.com, the initial franchise investment ranges from roughly $140,000 to $230,000, including the $34,000 franchise fee. Royalties are 6 percent of monthly gross revenues. Colorado-based parent company Fitness Together Holdings Inc. was ranked No. 1,705 on the Inc. 5,000, reporting 220 percent annual growth on 2007 revenues of $15 million. Scott Loveland Insurance LLC

Veteran insurance agent Scott Loveland took his office independent July 8, when he opened Scott Loveland Insurance LLC. Loveland, who operates out of the same space, 2332 W. Kingsley St., was with American Family Insurance for 18 years. "I decided to become an independent agent because it gives me the opportunity to work more closely with my clients," Loveland said. Pregnancy Care Center

Pregnancy Care Center relocated Sept. 2 to 1342 E. Primrose St. from 1923 S. National Ave., Ste. C. PCC is a not-for-profit organization that offers health and wellness education to young people dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. In collaboration with CoxHealth, St. John's Health System and the University of Missouri Extension, the center provides free individual prenatal counseling and education as well as instruction on well-newborn care. Development Director Kimberly Costello said the organization served 1,900 clients in 2007. PCC will hold a ribbon cutting and open house at 11 a.m. Oct. 17.
