Moxie Cinema

Owners Dan and Nicole Chilton reopened Moxie Cinema LLC in Wilhoit Plaza at 431 S. Jefferson Ave., Ste. 108 - space owned by Matt Miller Group - on Nov. 26. The independent movie house first opened in 2005 at 408 W. Walnut St. "The move doubled our space and puts us in a location that will be more accessible to our customers," Nicole Chilton said. Moxie now operates two theaters with 35 mm and digital projectors - with a total seating capacity of 140. Arby's

Franchisee Gilbert & Sons Inc. opened its fifth Arby's restaurant in Springfield on Nov. 7 at 230 S. West Bypass. Noah Beard manages 30 employees at the 65-seat restaurant, built by general contractor MoDoCo Inc. According to www.arbys.com, Atlanta-based Arby's - owned by Triarc Cos. Inc. - merged with Wendy's International Inc. in September to form Wendy's/Arby's Group Inc.; the group is now the nation's third largest quick-service restaurant chain. First-time Arby's franchisees must show $500,000 in liquid assets and agree to pay 4 percent royalties and a $37,500 license fee. Gilbert & Sons, led by President William E. All Klear Plumbing

All Klear Plumbing LLC opened for business Nov. 1 at 3758 S. Lexus. Owner Chris Hoffman, a master plumber, has nearly 30 years of plumbing experience. All Klear handles only repair and retrofit jobs; it does not perform new installations. Hoffman said approximately 10 percent of his business is commercial.
