Brent and Kendra Edge reopened Breadeaux Pizza at 5360 S. Campbell, Ste. A, on Dec. 1, after purchasing the franchise in November from Larry Dixon. The 59-seat, four-employee restaurant - one of two Breadeaux sites in Springfield and 73 in Missouri - opened in 2002. St. Joseph-based parent company Breadeaux Pisa Inc. operates 179 restaurants mostly in the Midwest, according to www.breadeauxpizza.com. The site lists the franchise fee at $15,000 with 5 percent royalties. The Edges created Phenway Enterprises LLC to run the south Springfield restaurant, which offers dine-in, drive-through and carryout, and serves a $4.99 salad and pizza buffet at lunch and dinner. Hands for Health Massage
Hands for Health Massage opened Sept. 8 at 311 E. Sunshine St., inside Phelps Chiropractic Clinic. Owner Christine McHaffie has worked for Phelps as a chiropractic assistant for seven years, and she studied at Professional Massage Training Center on Commercial Street before obtaining her state certification. Licensed massage therapist Jodie Cross is a contract employee of the new business. McHaffie works with Phelps Chiropractic patients and takes referrals from local physicians. Lewis Power Washing
Lewis Power Washing opened Oct. 15 at 640 N. Meteor Ave. Owner and sole employee Travis Lewis says he has been in the power-washing business in Texas for several years. The business cleans both residential and commercial buildings made of brick, stone and siding as well as driveways, porches, decks, and restored wood structures. Lewis uses a mixture of water and cleaning compound that is based on the type of structure and discoloration. He estimates a single-story ranch home of 1,200 square feet to 1,800 square feet can be cleaned for $100. Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Sunday by appointment. Phone: (417) 350-5491.
