Eric and "G-g" Shryer opened The Underdeck Co. on Oct. 1 at 1821 W. Sunset. The business makes an aluminum pan and guttering system to protect the area beneath a deck that is located above a walkout basement entrance. The pan covers the entire underside of the deck and channels water into a downspout. The pan and guttering kit sells for $6 per square foot. Miracle Supply Co. Inc., a wholesale distributor of pipe, valves and fittings for commercial plumbing, heating and cooling, opened Oct. 15 at 2650 N. Westgate Ave., Ste. 112. St. Louis-based Miracle Supply has been in business for more than 50 years and currently operates branches in Cape Girardeau and Palmyra. "Opening the Springfield branch was a logical move to expand our market area to the southwest part of the state," said Vice President Don Sieve. ASAP Building Services Inc., owned by Robert and Sallie Kintigh, opened on Aug. 30 at 1927 Holly Springs Ave. in Nixa, with two employees. The business offers room additions, painting, remodeling, roof repair, door and window installation, and appliance installation and repair. The couple operated a similar business in Seattle for seven years before moving to Nixa. Robert Kintigh said the appliance repair and installation he handled in Seattle for Sears, Best Buy and Whirlpool helped provide him with business in southwest Missouri.
