Summer Start Daycare

Summer Start Daycare opened March 23 at 1361 E. Briar St., inside Briar Street Baptist Church, where the business leases offices, kitchen space and a play area from the church. Owners Shawn and Jessica Glossip employ four to care for 15 children and have capacity for 34, newborn to age 12. When an extra bathroom is completed, Glossip said the facilities will be adequate for 60 children. Summer Start is licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Weekly rates are $125 for an infant and $80 for an older child. Before opening Summer Start, Glossip ran a day care in her home for four years. Hours: 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Skaggs Medical West

Skaggs Medical West in Kimberling City relocated March 31 to 2 Kimberling Blvd., a move that gives the clinic 11,000 square feet compared to 7,500 square feet previously at 11863 State Highway 13. Drs. Mark Schultz and Jenny Griffin, and nurse practitioner Linda Climer, are on staff at the family practice clinic, which can house up to eight care providers, said Skaggs spokeswoman Michelle Leroux. Branson-based Skaggs Regional Medical Center was established in 1950 and operates 22 clinics in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. Copper Manor Realty

Donna M. Cleous opened Copper Manor Realty in mid-February at 4062 S. Tipperary in Rogersville. The home-based business sells, leases and manages commercial property. Cleous has 15 years of experience in real estate, working for builders and developers, and became licensed two years ago. She said most of her larger clients, including Kensington Place and Bradford Place office condominiums, are in the Springfield area.
