D&D Foreclosure Cleanup
Father-and-son owners Darrell and Daniel Head opened D&D Foreclosure Cleanup on April 15 at 4841 E. Crab Apple Lane. With four employees, the business goes beyond foreclosure cleanups with lawn service, inside and outside cleanup, roofing, maintenance, and large-item trash haul-off. "Our focus is foreclosed homes," Darrell Head said, "but the foreclosure process is so involved, it's difficult to find the person with authority for a specific property." The Heads previously owned Pride Roofing of the Ozarks in Springfield, which closed in late 2008. Futurity First Insurance Group
Rocky Hill, Conn.-based Futurity First Insurance Group opened a Springfield office on April 29 at 2422 E. Madrid. The independent insurance company provides health, life, a long-term care coverage, and annuities for middle-income families and small businesses through insurance companies rated A- or better by AM Best. The Springfield office employs six agents, and Manager Cody Webster expects to hire 50 agents this year. Webster was previously with Torchmark Corp. in McKinney, Texas. National Enzyme Co.
Forsyth-based National Enzyme Co. on April 22 opened its 10,000-square-foot encapsulation and blending facility at 10275 E. State Hwy. 76. The company's corporate headquarters is located at 15366 U.S. Hwy. 160 in Forsyth. NEC manufactures and markets enzyme-based digestive and nutritional supplements worldwide. The company, which employs 120, was established in 1932. Owner and CEO Anthony Collier purchased the business in 1977 and moved it to Forsyth with three employees in 1979.
