Lenexa, Kan.-based C&C Group opened a Springfield office Jan. 1 at 1915 W. Woodland St., Ste. 132. The business, managed by Tim Marshment with seven employees, installs and services commercial security systems, temperature control systems, fire alarms, commercial generators, access floor systems and computer network systems. Accounts Manager Ron Bogart said C&C Group recently completed a security network and visual notification board showing arrivals and departures at the Springfield-Branson National Airport terminal. Ladies Fitness Express LLC

Suzanne Coulter opened Ladies Fitness Express LLC on May 4 at 3250 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. G. The two-employee business offers fitness equipment, including circuit training with weight machines, cardiovascular equipment and infrared sauna. Coulter said Ladies Fitness offers a weeklong free trial, which includes use of all facilities, and a $39 monthly contract. The site was formerly a Contours Express franchise owned and operated by Kim McBee. Coulter did not purchase the franchise but leases the building from McBee. Hours: 6 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 3-7:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 3-7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Phone: (417) 890-5433.

GladeWinds

Michael and Teri Leigh Baird opened GladeWinds on April 1 at 667 N. Althea Ave. in Nixa. The home-based business sells organic lawn and garden products, and small and midsize wind turbines and solar panels. GladeWinds provides on-site feasibility assessments on the use of renewable energies for homes and businesses, and supervises equipment installation to obtain desired results. Michael Baird was previously a manager at HMI Fireplace Shop in Nixa. Teri Leigh Baird said the two are available for training sessions on alternate energy and composting.
