Rose Diamonds Custom Design & Repair LLC opened July 7 at 4650 S. Campbell Ave., Ste. F. Owner Jennifer Choi, a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, offers a gold trade-in program, computerized engraving and while-you-wait jewelry repair. Customers can choose from more than 2,000 jewelry molds to design their own pieces. Choi intends to market the business through the company's Facebook page and plans an official grand opening Oct. 10. Hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Phone: (417) 823-3778.
The Roost Bar and Grill
The Roost Bar and Grill opened March 1 at 2025 W. Sunshine St. in One Park Centre. The casual diner serves American food with menu items below $10 and offers karaoke, live music and disc jockeys in the evenings. Mike Flavin owns the restaurant with Shane Bernard and Kyle Orf, who were formerly affiliated with Trolley's in downtown Springfield. The Roost employs about 20. Advanced Infrared Services
Advanced Infrared Services, formerly Infrared Imaging Associates, opened for business in August at 1752 N. Deffer Drive in Nixa. Advanced Infrared Services is a division of Wickizer & Clutter Inc., an independent insurance adjuster serving rural areas of Missouri, northern Arkansas, southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma. Advanced Infrared Services is operated by Bill Rapp, a certified thermographer and president of Wickizer & Clutter, and Kent Holder. Using an infrared camera, they scan objects such as buildings, roofs and electrical outlets looking for temperature anomalies that indicate air or moisture leaks. Holder said the goal is to increase efficiency and decrease energy use. The fee is $100 per hour, and Holder said a typical house takes two hours. Hours: by appointment. Phone: (417) 225-8820.
