Jimm's Steakhouse and Pub
Jimm's Steakhouse and Pub opened Dec. 13 at 1935 S. Glenstone Ave., in the former Steak & Ale spot. The restaurant is owned by Errett Sechler of Plaza Towers LLC, and the general manager is Jimm Swafford, who held the same role at Steak & Ale for 11 years. While Jimm's Steakhouse has similarities to its predecessor, Swafford said there are some changes, including a piano bar, where Carol Reinert and Barry Stacey play Wednesday through Saturday, and a remodeled cocktail lounge. Jimm's Steakhouse has about 75 employees, a menu offering steak, seafood and chicken, and a list of more than 20 wines available by the bottle or glass, Swafford said. Lunch entrees average $7 to $12; an early evening menu is available, with prices starting at $9.99, including salad bar, beverage and dessert. Dinner entrees average $11 to $18 and include the salad bar, Swafford said. Steak & Ale regulars already have visited: "It's great seeing the folks come back home," Swafford said. Hours: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 886-5466.
